David Weinmann was the best Hamilton Police Chief we've ever had. He inspired many children. NO other cop can fill in his shoes. Everybody knows that. I wish he was still here. He was the only one who helped children fight their battles far. Far too easily. He will be missed very very very much. Life is not fair, but that's the way of life. If only he could be here with his children and his wife today.
I've know him for six years. I wish I got to see him one last time. The last time I saw him was at the home coming parade at Hamilton. He was the best, and will always be the best, cop around. I will miss him and everybody will miss him. I love him sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Hard falls lead to harder times. I got to try and keep everything together. One more rodeo, one more time. Peace!!!

B.A.C.A.(Bikers Against Child Abuse). The Kansas City chapter express their deepest sympathies. We hope you enjoy the picture of Dozer on his first ride with us. I am historian for our chapter and I will be doing a memorial page for him in our scrapbook. This is what I wrote for him...."We only knew Dozer(David) for such a short while, but that's all the time it took for us to know his heart. His heart was huge and he touched many lives. He truly loved children and would have been a great asset to BACA and a great friend to each of us. But his time on earth with us was was cut short, while it's sad for us, we know that now he is in Heaven ridin his Harley on the smoothest roads, in the best of weather and surrounded by children and angels. Rest in Peace, Dozer, your work on earth is finished and you've earned your place in Heaven". My love to the family. Nip, historian for KCMO BACA

WOW! Where to start. I have known you guys since you moved to Hamilton. The twins and I soon became good friends. You ALL are an amazing family. I have seen you guys go through good and bad and the closeness of your family has always amazed me. Dave fit right in with your family. I can still remember the first time I saw Dave - - Kristin and I where lying on the living room floor "doing homework". He walked straight over to where we were (of course to give us a hard time) the first thing he did was take my clip out of my hair messed my hair up handed me my clip and said "hey found this in your hair." This was only the beginning of the many years he spent picking on me. Dave always had a smile on his face. Even if he was having a bad day no one would have ever known. Dave has done a lot for many people and he will be missed by all. If ANY of you ever need anything don’t forget I’m just a phone call away. I love you all.

My son Lance and his wife, Katrina had the privledge of knowing David for a short while. They were thinking of moving there. They spent time on the phone with David and met him in Hamilton. My son said he liked and respected this man whom he only knew for a short time. Sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. Tony, Dan, and David were best friends with my brother David while growing up in Falls City, only living a block from each other the twins were always around. The things they did together--the rotten things they would get into and the stories remembered make you laugh. I can't believe what has happened and I am sorry to hear of your loss once again.
To his wife, I am deeply sorry for your loss words can't begin to help the pain just know that there are people all over this country thinking of you and your family and saying prayers for Dave and you and the children.
God Bless!!

Jen,
Like on the phone, I don't know where to begin. My thoughts and prayers are always with you and the kids. I love all of you.
I have known you...well all our lives, but David only since you brought him home to meet the family. Soon, very soon he also became one of my best friends. I always had a great time with the two of you. I was so thankful you found him, you and I spent many nights talking about him and how you thought he was "the one" and for you to say that, I knew he had to be. He promised me on your wedding day to always love you and respect you the way you deserved and knew if he didn't he have to answer to Mitch AND me. I laughed at him and told him I had no doubts he'd keep his word. I loved to see the way he looked at you, and the look in his eyes when we talked about you. He loves you Jen, like no one ever has or will.
I know these entries are hard to read right now,but I promise you that soon you will find comfort in these. I love you and if you need anything..well you know.

David and I met when we were in the forth grade back in 1980, we were both 10 years old at the time. Of all of the Weinmann's, David was the first one that I had met and eventually I got to meet the rest of the family and we have been close friends for about 25 years now.
I have a very special bond with David, he was such a blessing during all the years that I have known him.
I and my Mother (Myrna Spencer Willey) extend our deepest heartfelt condolences to Bob, Mary Lou, Tony and his wife, Jenny, Katie, Taylor, Jake and to the yet unborn child. May the Lord grant comfort during this very difficult time in their lives as well as ours, his loss is a very big loss and he will be greatly missed.

Dear Family,
Nothing I can say will ease the pain of losing David. I worked with him on many court sessions and had the pleasure to eat dinner with him right before court on many of those nights. He had such a funny sense of humor and would have us all laughing to the point we could not hardly finish our meal. Judge William Shull liked him and to see those two cut up at the dinner table was simply hilarious. David always made you feel like part of the group even if he only met you 30 seconds earlier. He always had something funny to say, willing to help out with anything you need and then could snap into a professional mode as an outstanding law enforcement officer. He loved his wife, kids and entire family.
I moved to Florida right when he took office as the Chief Of Police in Hamilton. The last time I shook his hand and said goodbye before I went to Florida, he made me promise him to come back, stop in and see him and not to forget about all my friends in Caldwell County.
David, you move into our hearts now and I make this additional promise to you, I will never forget you... you are as great as they come. God Bless!
.

I can't not imagine losing a husband or child. Your families are in our prayers. Both my children are in law enforcement; my daughter is a 911 operator for Caldwell County Sheriff' Department and my son is a deputy with the Johnson County, Kansas Sheriff Department. My daughter knew David and she has told me the respect others had for David.
Again, your family are in our prayers. Paula

Jennifer,Bob,Marylou,Tony; I know this is a difficult time for all of you, David was an incredible, warm, fun loving and had the biggest heart.
Its hard to select any certain memory because all were so good but the ones that tend to stand out are the World's of fun trips. Mission Lake, All scouting events and graduation. How much fun we had ,the friendship and camraderie.
Thanks for all of it , You will be sadly missed.
