EDNA CASEY Obituary

Edna E. Casey, of Lee's Summit, presently living at the Carlyle and long-time resident of Lee's Summit area, passed away at St. Luke's East on January 17, 2012. Visitation will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m., at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Blue Springs Cemetery. Edna was a long-time member of Our Lady of the Presentation Church and active until the end. Edna was a retired employee of South Western Bell Telephone. She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, James R. Casey. She is survived by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a host of friends. She was like a mother to everyone who knew her and only had kind words to say about anyone. The family wishes to express their thanks to St. Luke's East staff and doctors for the great care she had at her many hospital stays. Memorial Contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church or to Senior Helpers of Lee's Summit.
