Eldon Dennis Larson

Eldon Dennis Larson, 61, Olathe, KS, passed away peacefully with his family at his side Wednesday, February 8, 2007, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2007 at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, M-291 Hwy. at I-35, Liberty, MO. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday, February 16 at the Park Lawn Northland Chapel. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation or the SEMA Scholarship Fund. Eldon was born February 23, 1945 to Vernon and Mavis Larson in Ute, Iowa. He was a 1963 graduate of West Monona High School. He had been involved in the automotive aftermarket industry for many years, working for Reliable Automotive from 1970-1987. Eldon founded Automotive Performance Wholesalers in 1987 and Motorville in 2002. Eldon was honored with a SEMA award in 1997 and PWA Pioneer Award in 2006. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, boating on the Lake of the Ozarks, drag racing and hot rods. Eldon was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Judith Harding and Vivian Larson; and his faithful companion, Edsel, his Chinese Sharpei. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Sandra Larson, of the family home; his children and their spouses, Ashley and Brad Shinkle, Kim and Jeff Torkelson, Davin and Teri Larson; grandchildren, Tanner and Bailee Shinkle, Christian, Dorian and Morgan Torkelson, Parker, Owen and Cooper Eldon Larson; his Chinese Sharpei Buddy; and numerous relatives and friends.
