Elva Richards Obituary

Elva "Mickey" Richards, 82, of Overland Park, KS, passed away June 19, 2004, at her home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at the D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf; with burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call upon the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Village Presbyterian Church c/o the funeral home. Mickey was born August 11, 1921, in Coffeyville, KS, to Leonard and Sally Riley and grew up in Humboldt, KS. Mickey was a Registered Nurse at Trinity Lutheran Hospital and lived in the Prairie Village and Overland Park area for the past 50 years. Mickey is survived by her husband, E. Scott Richards and her three children, Jan Page of Quepos, Costa Rica, Steve Richards of Lawrence, KS, and Dick Richards of Denver, CO. Additionally, Mickey leaves her twin sister, Neva; younger sister, Jean; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many great friends. (Arrangements: D.W.
