Mrs. 'Boom and Gene III: Heaven just became an even nicer place. Mr. 'Boom was an inspiration to all of the Troost Lakers, and showed us how a loving husband and father behaves. We are all better persons for having known him. You and your families are in my prayers.

Dear Mary Kay and Gene's family
Death came very quickly but who was more ready for the Lord than Gene. May Gene enjoy those words "Well done, good and faithful servant" All who ever knew him will miss his presence; the daily Mass at St. Francis Xavier will not be quite the same for me with his ready service as altar server. May all of you know the Lord's closeness to you in this time of loss; continue to cast all your cares upon the Lord. Gene and all of you are in my prayers as you close the book on a long and storied life.

Love & prayers,

Dear Mary Kay and family, my thoughts and prayers are with each of you at this very difficult time. I am so glad I got to see Gene while in KC for Brian and Andi's wedding. He looked just wonderful so when Mom called to let me know was very difficult to believe. I'm sure Gene and Dad are having a great 'Notre Dame Reunion'. My love to all of you.
