FERNAND L. ROY

Fernand L. Roy, of Shawnee, Kansas, died on November 17, 2011, at home. He was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on July 25, 1925, raised in Springfield Massachusetts and attended Saint Thomas Aquinas grammar school and Cathedral High School. He began his lifetime employment with Western Auto Supply Company in 1941. His career spanned fifty-four years with the company in Springfield and Taunton Massachusetts, Baltimore, Maryland and finally to corporate headquarters in Kansas City, Missouri. He was married to Claire deJordy Roy for forty-five years until her passing in 1994. He leaves three children, Andrea Roy and her husband Richard Liguori of Belmont Massachusetts, David Roy of Shawnee, and Paul Roy and his wife Samantha of Shawnee, and two grandchildren, Jessica Roy of Shawnee and Gabriel Roy Liguori of Belmont Massachusetts. Visitation will be on Tuesday November 22 at 9:30am at St. Joseph Church, 11311 Johnson Drive Shawnee, followed by a Memorial Mass at the church.
