Frances E. DiGiovanni

Frances E. DiGiovanni, 96, Kansas City, MO, passed away December 26, 2006. Funeral Mass will be held 9 a.m. Friday, December 29, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 900 NE Shady Lane Dr., Kansas City, MO, 64118. Burial in Mount Saint Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Chapel, 10507 Holmes Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church. Mrs. DiGiovanni was born December 6, 1910 in Kansas City, MO, to Frank and Elvira (Guidici) Baum. She married Sam DiGiovanni on October 12, 1938. She managed a variety of photography studios starting at Mitchell's Studio on the Plaza in the 1930's and later Leo Stern Studio and Caulk Studio. Her passion in life was always family and cooking. She loved playing cards especially bridge. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Jake and sister Virginia. Mrs. DiGiovanni is survived by her sister Hester Brelsford, Houston, TX; sister Elvira Migliazzo, Kansas City, MO; son Paul DiGiovanni and Marge, Kansas City, MO; daughter Pinky and Anthony Cipolla, Kansas City, MO; daughter Laura and Jim Tucker, Overland Park, KS; grandchildren Dr. Bruce and Toni Cipolla Lundak, Omaha, NE, Jimmy Tucker, Overland Park, KS, Phil and Debbie DiGiovanni Uehling, Overland Park, KS, Sam DiGiovanni, Overland Park, KS, Gus and Rose Anne Cipolla, Kansas City, MO, Fran Tucker, Prairie Village, KS, Laura Tucker, Olathe, KS, Jeff and Christina Tucker Smith, Prairie Village, KS, Paul M.
