Doris DiGiovanni, 99, a Pawtucket resident of 75 years, passed away on December 14, 2025, in Miriam Hospital.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph DiGiovanni, Jr.
Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Ena and Aldea (Lambert) DeRoy.
Born into a close-knit family, Mrs. DiGiovanni carried on the tradition of familial unity throughout her life. She adored spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and cherished having the whole family together, finding her greatest joys in the moments she shared with them.
An active member of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Mrs. DiGiovanni's faith was an integral part of her life. Her commitment to her church community was evident in the way she lived her life-with generosity, kindness, and a welcoming heart. She worked as a jeweler for B.B. Greenberg Co., where she dedicated 25 years of exceptional service to the jewelry manufacturing industry.
Her love extended into all areas of her life, including her passion for cooking, which was more than just a hobby, it was a way to gather those she loved closely and share in the joy of togetherness. Every meal she prepared was a celebration of family; an expression of the affection she held for those seated at her table.
Mrs. DiGiovanni is survived by her son, Joseph DiGiovanni, III and his wife Donna; two daughters, Sandra Nicatero and her companion Tom, Shirley Daley and her husband Earl; her brother, Roland DeRoy and wife Arline; 7 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, with visitation from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM in the A. A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence RI.
