FRED AUSDENMOORE Obituary

Mr. Fred J Ausdenmoore of Overland Park KS returned to our Lord on 7-28-2014. Fred was born on 4-6- 1930 in Cincinnati Ohio to Fred B and Catherine Ausdenmoore. He graduated from Xavier High School and Xavier University where he was a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit honor fraternity. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He worked for the William S. Merrell Company in Cincinnati and later Jensen- Salsbery Labs in Kansas City. He co-owned the Menagerie pet store in Kansas City which he opened in 1966. He retired from Schroer Mfg in 1995 after 18 year as Executive Vice President. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia and his 7 children: Gail Ezell (Rick), Mark Ausdenmoore (Valerie), Jim Ausdenmoore, Patricia Freijat (Jamal), Therese McCord (Dan), Mary Traxler (Chris), and Catherine Russo. Also surviving him are 21 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his parents, his brother Dr. Robert Ausdenmoore, and his grandson Thomas McCord. The funeral mass will be held at Church of the Nativity in Leawood KS on Saturday 8-2-2014 at 9:30AM. It will be preceded by visitation and rosary at 9:00AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to The Sister Servants of Mary or Kansas City Hospice who provided much comfort to Fred and his family.

My Dad was one of the most warm, intelligent and well spoken individuals you could ever meet. He was so loved and respected by everyone. I will miss his bright blue eyes and warm smile and embrace. Love you Dad!
