GARY EVERETT MILLER

Gary Everett Miller, 69, Independence, Mo., passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011, at his residence surrounded by family and friends. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, at New Walnut Park, 1137 Pearl Ave. and 23rd Street, Independence, Mo. Gary was born May 8, 1942, in Buncombe, NC, to Wayne Miller and Ruby (Banks) Miller. He graduated from East High School in 1961. Gary worked for Index Restaurant Supply for 25 years, and then he was self-employed for many more years. Gary designed many church and restaurant kitchens. He enjoyed collecting antiques and collectibles, and he loved his corvettes. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church. He is survived by his daughter, Heather Patton and husband Terry of Independence, son, Adam Miller and his companion Laura, one grandchild, the sunshine of his day, Mila Patton. He was preceded in death by his parents. Gary was the most caring, gentle, and kind-hearted man. He loved everyone. He was a best friend, dad, and grandpa. He is, and always will be, loved.
