I am blessed to have called Greg Wain friend. It was difficult to know what he endured over the past 3 - 4 years. I am glad I was there for him when he learned of the horrible news. I recall him talking about his sister and getting mad because she was so upset. Even though he hated to hear it, I told him I was praying for his comfort. He softened a bit over time - probably from hearing it from me and his sister so often. He thought he could beat this - and gave it one hell of a shot. I was amazed at how well he handled things. I loved talking about cars, movies, work, etc. with him. I will treasure our years of friendship forever. You are and will always be my dear friend who I miss every day.

Greg was my cabin mate on camp staff in Boy Scouts at Camp Geiger. I became acquainted with Greg's family and lived for a time in Savannah, MO upon retiring from the Navy and Greg was one of the first people to reach out and welcome me back home. What a good guy. I wish him and his family peace.

I always thought of Greg like the big brother I never had. Over the years we hung out a lot with my ex-husband and myself. He was always our plus one.
I was deeply saddened to learn of his illness. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. GOD speed.
Always his friend,
