Kansas City, Missouri - September 2, 2023, Jeannette Marie Cummings got her wings.
Our beloved Jeanne was born to Martin Cummings and Jane McInerney. She married the love of her life Mohamed Hamid, and together they have two children, Shea and Molly. Jeanne made a tremendous impact on her community as a proud business owner (Mo's World's Greatest Hummus), social justice advocate and active member of Visitation Catholic Church.
Jeanne is survived by her husband Mohamed, son Shea and his wife Morgan, daughter Molly and her husband Zeke, grandchildren Martin, Oscar, Amelia, Jane, and twin boys, Kieran and Rory arriving in November. She is also survived by her six siblings - Margie, Eddie, Brian, Kevin, Patty, Sean, their spouses, and her many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.
A rosary will be held at 9 am, Friday, September 8th at Visitation Church, followed by the wake, and mass at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, KCMO 64145, Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, 4200 S. 4th St, Leavenworth, KS 66048 or St. Benedict's Abbey, 1020 N 2nd St, Atchison, KS 66002. Margie, Eddie, Patty Ann, Brian, Kevin and Sean I am sending prayers and love to all of you. When I was growing up I spent many funfilled days at your house playing with all of you. I have such great memories. Jane and Martin were the best. Loved your family dearly. I am so sorry for your loss. Jeannie was so much fun always smiling and so so pretty. Blessings for all of you and Jeannie's family. "May the road rise up to meet her and the wind be always at her back."
