Heartfelt sympathy to all those near. My mom just told me of the "family connection", she spoke to my Aunt Vicki, in March, and although I have yet to meet the rest of the Oakes family, I can understand the pain of sudden loss of a child.

A year is passed and we all still miss Jeff very much. From his family to you, we want to thank you for the love and support you have given us this past year. We still think of him daily and for us, there will never come a day where he is not thought of.
Jeff was my best friend and my hero. Growing up I always wanted to be with him and do what he did. He was a great friend to many of you and you in return you were great to him.
Danny and Lori, Thank you so much for sponsoring this guest book. It means so much to us that he had so many friends that cared about him as much as we did. It’s amazing how you think the pain will dull and it will get easier and then you find out that is not the case. But there is comfort in knowing that he knew we loved him very much and would do anything for him. And that so many people cared about him and us.
To Manny’s family, we think of you and pray for you and hope God brings you comfort and strength.
Jeff is in a peaceful and great place. Sometimes I am jealous of him and Manny because I know they are in a much better placed then we are. They are home.

Thank you again,
Jeff’s lil sister

You and Manny were kindred spirits, you met and the friendship took flight. Thank you for the great memories. I miss you and I will diffently miss our times at Mickey's Pub watching you do your crazy dances, the sprinkler, the lawnmower, so forth. Laura and I will look out for one another as I know you have that covered from above. Your family is great and I thank them for being there for me. My heart and prayers go out to them. I love you Jeffrey, I will miss you calling me babygirl.

And if I go, while you're still here...

Know that I still live on,
Vibrating to a different measure
behind a thin veil you cannot see through.

You will not see me,
so you must have faith.

I await the time when we can soar together again, both aware of each other.

Until then, live your life to the fullest.
And when you need me,
just whisper my name in your heart,
.............I will be there.
