John Reffitt Obituary

John Wallace Reffitt Jr. 71, Lawson, Mo passed away on May 25, 2007 at his home. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30 at the Salem Cemetery Excelsior Springs, Mo, the family will receive friends Wednesday, May 30, from 1-2 p.m. at the Polley Funeral Home Excelsior Springs, Mo. Memorial Contributions may be given to the John Wallace Reffitt Jr. Memorial fund c/o the funeral home. John was born on December 16, 1935 in Kansas City, Mo the son of John William Reffitt Sr. and Ida Elizabeth Helms. He was married to Betty Lou Frames she preceded him in death in 1971. John served in the US Marines during the Korean Conflict. He had worked as a Concrete finisher. He was a member of the Concrete Finisher Union and the Kingston AA. Survivors include Six sons John, Larry, Neal, Eddie, Bert and Daryl Reffit of Iowa, two daughters Donna Jeffers and Michelle Marie O'Brien of Iowa, one step-son Michael Collier, one brother Frank Reffitt, two half brothers Edward and George Beggs, 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one sister Rosemary Elizabeth Brower. Arrangements: Polley Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, Mo. (816) 630-3388.
