JOSEPH BULLIMORE Obituary

Joseph W. Bullimore of Lee's Summit, passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 611 N. Liberty St., Independence, MO 64050. Visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Inurnment to follow at Floral Hills East Cemetery. Joe was born March 3, 1942 to Max and Maude (Fort) Bullimore in St. Joseph, MO. He attended Christian Brothers School, graduating in 1960. Joe became an engineer for Southwestern Bell in 1961 and was later drafted into the army. He returned to marry his beloved wife, Joyce (Walters) Bullimore. Together they raised two children. Joe enjoyed teaching his children everything including water skiing, boating, golfing, and fishing. He and his wife spent many years traveling the world. They were devoted members of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a true outdoors man. Joe's favorite hobbies included sports, hunting, and golf. His family describes him as gentle, devoted and loving; they will forever miss him. Joe is survived by his wife of the home; son Joe Bullimore, Jr. and wife Donna of Lee's Summit, MO; their children, Lauren, Jacob and Ryan; daughter, Julie Hayes and husband Chris of Blue Springs, MO; their children, Izabel and Alex; siblings Richard Bullimore of St. Joseph, MO; David Bullimore and wife Martha of St. Joseph, MO; sister-in- law, Mary Ann Bullimore. He was preceded in death by his brother Franklin Bullimore and sister-in-law Donna Bullimore. The family encourages donations in Joe's name to St. Mary's Catholic Church; 611 North Liberty Street Independence, MO 64050 and Alzheimer's Association; 3846 West 75th Street Prairie Village, KS 66208.
