Kathryn Topi Obituary
October 21, 1919 - August 2, 2023
Kansas City, Missouri - Kathryn Louise Topi, 103, passed away on August 2, 2023, at her home of 78 years.
Kathryn was born October 21, 1919, in Wellington, MO, to the late Fountain and Nonie Blair. She was a lifelong resident of Northeast Kansas City and was a 1938 graduate of Northeast High School. She married John A. Topi on June 22, 1946, following his return from WWII, and they enjoyed the next 55 years together until his passing in 2001. Kathryn enjoyed sewing and attending army reunions with John. She was an active member of Holy Cross Parish where she served as recording secretary for the Altar Society well into her 90's.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her daughter Patty; her great-granddaughters Alayna Kathryn and Aleecia Jolynn Giangalanti; and her brother Reldon Blair. She is survived by her daughter Becky Wilson (Randy); and her grandchildren Jason Kroner (Melody) and Amy Giangalanti (Jack).
Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 21, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22, at Mount Washington Cemetery.

Kathryn was one of the kindest people I have known. She would come with her husband to his Doctor appointments where I worked. She always had a sweet, gentle smile and every year when she attended the St. Joseph's Table, she would bring us such delicious treats, even when they didn't have an appointment. God Bless her in her heavenly home.

My family lived next door to Kathryn. We also are cousins. Becky, Patty and I played together as children .
What a long life so full of grit and determination to stay in her home until the end. May she be enjoying her new home reunited with Johnny and Patty.
