Lisa Boswell-Dupree' Obituary

Lisa Boswell-Dupree', 47, passed away March 22, 2008 after entering a Lancaster, CA hospital with what was thought to be a non-life threatening condition. Lisa was born August 1, 1960 to Jan and Howard Boswell of Grandview, MO. She graduated from Grandview High School in 1978, then moved to California in 1984, where she married Tom Dupree'. Lisa loved California life and was a devoted mother to her dogs and rescues throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her father Howard Boswell. Lisa is survived by her mother, Jan Boswell of Grandview, MO; sister Stacy Kelly of Peculiar, MO; brother Steven Boswell of Georgia; grandmother Lois Gilkison of Kansas City, MO; uncles Chuck Gilkison of Raymore, MO, Capt. Don Gilkison of Kansas City, MO. Lisa also leaves her nieces Crystal and Kaylin Kelly of Peculiar, MO, Madison, Larsen and Jadeyn Boswell of Georgia and nephew Ryan Boswell of Georgia. The family would like to thank Cindy and her husband Cornelius Van Dereyk of Lancaster, CA for their devoted love and support for Lisa. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, April 4, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO. A private graveside for family will be held Saturday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Atlanta Center for the Visually Impaired, 739 W. Peachtree St., Atlanta, GA 30308. (Local Arr.: Mt. Moriah & Freeman, at 816-942- 2004.)

Jan,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. We love you and I am so sorry I didn't know about the funeral. We would of liked to express our feelings to you and your children in person.
