Marlene Lang Obituary

Marlene Lang, 61, of Kansas City, MO, died Thursday, January 9, 2003, at her home. Memorial services will be 12noon Sunday, January 12, at The Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Ave. Kindly omit flowers, the family suggests contributions to donor's choice. Ms. Lang began her career in 1979 as Director of Personnel at Research Medical Center and retired in 1993 as Senior Vice President of Human Resources with Health Midwest. She was a member of the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration of the American Hospital Association, Society for Human Resource Management, Health Care Human Resources Association of Greater Kansas City, Hospital Personnel Management Association of Missouri, Board of Directors of the Associated Industries of Missouri, Chairperson of the Association's Health Care Committee, Board of Directors of SHARE, Inc., Chairperson of SHARE's Personnel Committee, and Board of Directors of Executive Fellows Association at Rockhurst College. Ms. Lang was born in Chicago, IL and came to Kansas City in 1979. She is survived by her sister, Sheila R. Lang, Morris Plains, NJ; nephew, Lee L. Bodner, Chevy Chase, MD; niece, Karen Lang Bodner, New York City, NY; and many, many friends. (Arrangements: The Louis Memorial Chapel (816) 361-5211)

We will miss Marlene. We both loved her and considered her a true friend for 40 years. Even if we didn't see or talk to each other for a while, we could always pick up where we left off. Our feelings never diminished. We cherish our memories and will always think of her.
