Rohrer Famiy,
They say you will never forget the class you student teach for me this is true. I came across your family when I student taught Emma in second grade. I still have found memories of that class as each one touches me. Please know that you are in my thoughts and tell Emma she as an amazing group of friends to help her!

I was associated with the Wyandotte County Sheriff's Office for over 10 years early in my career.
I accordingly had an immense sense of anguish for both of these fine young officers when I heard of this incident and then, with profound sadness, recognized Pat's name. His Boy Scout patrol was just a year behind my oldest son's patrol.
I worked closely with John as an adult scout leader at Lenexa Troop 401 for over 20 years. John was one of the finest Scout leaders that both Troop 401 and the Trail's West District ever had.
I have many vivid memories of Pat, and know that I signed off on numerous rank advancements for him along the Eagle trail. It was a signal privilege to attend his Eagle Court of Honor.
One of my best memories of Pat was a special 4 day canoe trip that John & I set up for a few of the older boys on the Buffalo National River in Arkansas. They were all Eagle Scouts by then and had the uninhibited time of their lives. We canoed on a beautiful and scenic river way coursing through high mountain pastures and breathtaking white cliffs where countless "eagles" nested and soared.
I'm going to fondly remember Pat that way.
I am absolutely certain that Heaven closely resembles that and Pat was graced with an early glimpse of it for God's own purpose.

John, There simply are no words at a time like this. I hope the attached photo will bring you and your family memories of happier times. I'm glad I was there to share it with you.
