Dick was a longtime friend of my father Bill Franklin. I have some great memories of hunting in northern Missouri with Dick and other members of their club; in fact he was with us the day I brought down my first Canadian 'Honker'. His always ready laugh and great love of life are some of my great memories of him. It is with deep sorrow that we hear of his passing. My deepest sympathies go to his family.

Dick, your spirit, energy and enthusiasm are having a positive impact elsewhere...I just know it! You became my American father. For twenty-five years you were an advisor, mentor and awesome friend. You meant so much to my wonderful wife, five amazing daughters and I. I can't thank you enough for your love, kindness and generosity. You will be sorely missed in this world!

I have many fond memories of Mr. Hammond - having first met him in 1967 when I came to work at Fashion, Inc. He showed me how to "keep papers in the files" neat by shuffling and straightening them (Ha Ha). And he told me "take care of the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves". HIs energy was endless. What a remarkable life to live 98+ years! My condolences to his beautiful family.

I love you Grandpa. You were an amazing, loving, and motivated man and you set the bar high for all of us to follow in your footsteps. I can't believe how lucky I was to have my great grandpa in my life for 22 years! And such a wonderful great grandpa at that! It just doesn't get any better. Ill miss your smile that could light up a room. R.I.P You are so loved.

I will miss grandpa with all my heart. He was my hero and friend. I will always cherish the times we spent together and feel so blessed I could share my five daughters with him. What a powerful influence he had on us all. He will always hold a special part of my heart. Rest in peace dear grandpa. Even though we are apart for now, you will always be with me!

You were a remarkable wonderful man. I thouroughly enjoyed being your daughter in law. It was such a honor to have in my life as a Father in Law. I will miss you very much. I can not believe the time finally came. I know now that you are in peace and with your lovely wife.
