Betty
So sorry to hear of Dick's death. You both were a real joy in our water aquatics class. Dick was surely the life of the party there. He had his own following and they missed him when you all didn't show up. I was so glad he came back last fall so we could visit with him. He will truly be missed. Our sympathy is with you and your children. Take care.Barb Simon

Betty,
I just learned of Dick's death last evening from Lois, of our Aquatic Therapy class.
What a joy it was to meet Dick and know him for the short time I did. His smile and easy-going personality lit up the class.
Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to be in the next months.

Love and sympathy,

John & Marilyn Gormly

To the Joyce family I wish to extend my sincere sympathy. I have fond memories of marching in the rear ranks(we were both tall)with his buddies of our company when we were cadets at DLS.

I first met Dick while in college with Carol. I'll never forget his response when Carol asked him what he thought of our rental house. He said if he owned it, "he would bull-doze it down and plant a nice garden". What a hoot he was! I loved visiting with him. He was so genuine. I will miss him dearly.

All my love to his family. May God and memories such as mine help you through this difficult time.

With all my sympathy and love,

To Betty & Family:

As a young man many years ago while making an effort to solidify a career in the ready-mix industry I met Dick while he was making his calls. While I was just a young kid he was always generous sharing his depth of knowledge in an effort to help me grow my career. I will always remember that and I'm forever grateful. It forged a bond between a young guy and the wiley old veteran for many years. I'm so very grateful I was able to see Dick while he was still able to communicate. Dick was a valued friend and my hopes and prayers are with his family.
