RICHARD KEITH Obituary

1955-2010 Richard C. "Dickie" Keith, 55, Cummings, Kansas died Thursday, October 14, 2010, at Heartland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph, Missouri. Funeral services will be Monday, October 18, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. St. Joseph's Church with Rev. Gabriel Landis officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A parish wake service will be Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. with visitation following until 8:30 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to Cancer Research or the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, Lincoln, NE, and may be left in care of the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.arensbergpruett.com. Dickie was born April 25, 1955, in Atchison, Kansas, the son of Clarence D. and Eleanor Seeger Keith. He attended St. Joseph's Catholic Elementary School and later graduated from Maur Hill Prep School in 1974. He and Susan D. Wohlgemuth were united in marriage on May 12, 1984, in Atchison, Kansas. Dickie worked for many years as a forklift mechanic for Lift Truck Sales and Service in Kansas City, Missouri. He formerly worked for Arensberg IGA Grocery, Rockwell, Marlatt Construction, Kenworth Truck, Co., in Kansas City Missouri, and Midwest Grain Products. He was a member of the National Street Rod Association (NSRA) and the Good Guys Rod and Custom Association. He was also a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Atchison. He enjoyed building street rods and attending car events, fishing, hunting and taking care of his Angus cattle and dogs. His most enjoyable hobby was spending time with his family, friends and his Grandson Ryan. Survivors include his wife, Susan, two daughters, Laura Diane Keith and Jennifer Lynn Keith, grandson Ryan Matthew Keith all of Cummings, KS, two brothers, Mike Keith, Atchison, KS, Curt Keith, Lenexa, KS, three sisters, Fran Keith, Lenexa, KS, Bobbi (Terry) Demmon, Lawrence, KS, Sue (Jody) Burton, Atchison, KS, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
