Rich was the most kind and generous man. He made my life better just by knowing him. I think about him often and can still hear his laugh. He was a wonderful man, Dad, husband, and grandpa.

I remember when i first met rich as a first year camper way back in 1996. I will never forget that laugh and how he allways went above and beyond to provide such a amazing experience every summer. Rich was a man of High Honor in my book. I have watched for many years and stood in awe of his ability to influence the lives of the Scouts he came into contact with. He is a treasure that will be sorely missed around the circle of friendship and warmth!!!

I worked with Rich for many years and I will always remember his laugh and how it made me feel...you couldn't be down around Rich..he just lifted everyone around him. He leaves a void in our lives..

I have had the honor and pleasure to work under Rich at H.Roe Bartle Camp for two years. This was one of the most memerable times of my life, and I too had the priviledge of receiving my staff coup from Rich. His smile and laughter will echo through the woods and winding trails of camp forever. May the circle of wormth and friendship remain unbroken Warrier Ringtail Hawk

I worked with Richard at the payment center in the late seventies.. I remember how proud he was of his family. He was a great Royals fan also. Always in good humor, I knew he was headed for greatness. He was always up for a drink at the Cattleman's Lounge across the street.

To the Family of Rich,
So sorry that I had to be out of town at this time. Rich and I were buddies and I'll miss him very much. He will be remembered for all his contributions to the scouting program and many things I learned from him. Rich and I received our Silver Coup together. That was an honor standing next to him. I will remember the shared experiences forever.

I extend my sympathies to Rich's family. I worked with him getting all the staff paperwork together the past two years. Laughter was always part of the conversation. He leaves some big shoes to fill. I will miss him.

rich had am infectious laugh, wry sense of humor, a love for his sons, a passion for molding youth through scouts, a childlike excitement for the royals, an ageless moustache and a joy and warmth about h that i will always remember.
his loss is a loss to one of my great friends but know he is with mary - no doubt enjoying life and a cocktail while learning all of lifes unanswered questions.

Rich and Mike, this is indeed sad news and you are in my prayers. As you know, your father was a great man. Between rooting for soccer games and his huge involvement in the BSA troop. he influenced my life, and many others, during the most formative years of life.

My sincere condolences go to Rich's sons and indeed to all who knew him. It is a great loss for all of us.
I have worked for several Camp Directors at Camp Bartle but it is Rich who had the most infectious smile and laughter. Know that I too will smile as I walk those hills and woods of Bartle for I will know that his spirit walks with all of us there. We will all cherish the memories of him and will be guided and comforted by that spirit.
May the Great Spirit give you comfort in this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of meeting Rich several years ago at Bartle. he was avery inspirational and wise man. He was never too busy to stop to talk or help especially the boys at camp. I for one will miss him. May God be with his family. It is well my Brother.

Walking Asking Bear was one of the bright stars down at Bartle where I had the privilege to meet and get to know Rich. His ready laugh, his sense of humor, his quick smile were shared with everyone. He always had time to stop and talk and to help anyone who needed him. He will be missed. Very sorry to hear of his passing. May he walk with the Great Spirit.
