My mother met Mr. Byerley while working in an art gallery in Pismo Beach, California. He gave her a drawing on a piece of paper he´d quickly sketched of her. Precious. Mrs. Byerley was also there and my mom just loved the two of them. I´m so sorry to hear of his passing. God bless.

Great and gifted person. Teacher of a higher level and quite personable. I am not am artist, but have been to several of his art shows. Met him and visited with him about his work. I gained insight from him and admire his skill. Sad to earlier discovered about his heart health and later passing. He was great.

i hope you have found solace.
I worked for an Art Gallery in West Des Moines Iowa and we proudly carried his Artwork.
The world has lost a man with with a unique ability to capture the essence of children and their dreams.

My Mum was in his high school art class... he did a beautiful portrait of her in color pencils and a old barn in a overgrown field... she will always remember how he worked hard to help her understand the concepts he was teaching. May you Rest In Peace

I took evening oil painting classes from Bob in the 80's when he was still teaching - and we could hardly get any painting done because we were laughing so hard at all his jokes and funny stories. Bob was a wonderful teacher, he could help with any problem I was having and do it in a supportive way that encouraged me -- and I'm still painting today because of him. I'll miss Bob as a teacher, an incredible artist, and friend.
Rocky, Jenny, "A", Dave, or anyone attending those classes - please text or call me so we can share more wonderful memories of Bob

My parents were among Bob's first collectors in Kansas City. My brother and I inherited those four original, beautiful and masterful paintings, one of which Bob painted from a photograph of my grandfather and his dog when he was a little boy!
We celebrate Bob's wonderful talent and are happy he was able to share his gift to touch so many lives and bring smiles to countless collectors of his work.
I haven't seen many artists' work these days that can compare to his master skills as a painter and artist.
Sending prayers of comfort, love and light to his family and close friends.

So sorry to learn of Mr Byerley's death. My wife and I had the privilege of meeting him at Pacific Fine Arts in Hawaii when he was showcasing his newest painting The Puppeteer. Needless to say we purchased an artist transfer and have since purchased many more through the years. What a nice gentleman he was. Our hearts go out to the family and the artist community.

I had Mr. Byerley as my, Jr. High art teacher, he made art fun and interesting, I learned a lot in his class and did not even realize it without working up a sweat, it was that easy.
