Robert LeBow Obituary

Sedalia, Missouri - Robert B. LeBow, age 97, passed away December 14, 2021 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born in Ottumwa, IA on May 15, 1924, the son of Gladys Fulton LeBow and Bernard LeBow.
He graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1942 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On June 15, 1947, he married Virginia (Virgie) Cunningham in Oneida, IL. Both were students at Park College, Parkville, MO. Mr. LeBow graduated from Park in 1949 and was employed by Business Mens' Assurance Company, in K.C., until his retirement in 1984. The family lived in the Parkville area many years, but retired to Sedalia, MO. Mr. LeBow was a long-time member of the Presbyterian Church, serving as a deacon and an elder. He was also a 50-plus year member of Compass Lodge #120 A.F. and A.M., Parkville. He was a Red Cross volunteer at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia, for many years.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. John LeBow, Eugene, OR and Dr. James LeBow (Denise), Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mr. LeBow was preceded in death by his wife, half-sister Dianne LeBow and half-brother Richard LeBow.
There will be no visitation. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Sedalia. Burial will be in Oneida, IL at a later date.
The family would like to thank the Staff at Bothwell for their exceptional concern, care and professionalism offered to Mr. LeBow during his stay.
