I went to school with Bob from 7th grade to graduation at Ruskin. I will always remember him for his smile and humor. His art always came as a natural talent to him and he sure put a big dent in this world with all of it. I had talked to Bob a few times in the mid "90's" to catch up on old times and he would let me know how all my old friends were doing.
It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow that I write this. I pray that your family finds comfort in knowing what a remarkable man that he was. My heart and prayers are with his family and let it be known that Bob will never be forgotten.
Rest in Peace Bob.

My Brother...

> Enjoyed life and everyone in it!
> Was always giving me advice!
> Always wanted me to be happy and live life to its fullest!
> Was always positive and had such a sweet spirit even in rough waters!
> Wanted to see the good in every thing (and capture it on video or camera)!
> Had so much energy...especially on the tennis court beating me!
> Always made me laugh! (That's how he beat me at tennis) :)
> Was the best dancer and would take me dancing for hours. Made it easy...even when I had a broken leg!

My Brother and I shared such a sweet and glorious peace during his last few days on this earth. Our hearts are good and we will see each other again! Our memories will live on. I know you are smiling and so is everyone in your new life in Heaven. I love you, Bobby!

Your 'lil sis!

Bob and I were friends in Jr. High and High School. The Bob I remember was the type of guy that walked down a different path than his peers. He was a strong confident guy with big dreams and while he may not of known how he was going to change the world he was happy to know he was going to try. Walk with God old friend and save some time for those of us who hope to see you again in the Father's house in Heaven.

I had the previelege of knowing Bobby Vaughn thru family ties. Bob's mom Jan is my mohters friend therefore I probably was around him alot but now I feel saddened that I didn't get to know him as well as others. He was one to make you laugh and feel comfortable doing something that indeed you thought you weren't comfortable doing. I can remember I wanted to learn Ball Room dancing my mother told me to get intouch with Bobby and I said no way I would be embarrssed for him to even se me try! As we all have wonderful stories I wish this extended family a open soul and with peace in their hearts that Robert is ok and we all will see him once again. God Bless to Roberts family, Debby, I know what it feels like to burry a loved one as we lost Curtis, its very hard, you also will find peace in your heart and soul, God won't let you down. Robert was a fabulously talented artist. He loved the arts in all forms. He loved to share them with others and had a very unique and wonderful ability to teach. Robert was so quick witted, I loved to banter with him! I will miss him very much!
I met Robert 31 years ago as a cousin to my now ex. We always felt right at home around the table on Holidays.
Then about 12 years, later I went to party at my best friend's house... look up and there is Robert asking me, "What on earth are do doing here.... These are my friends" I corrected him and said "NO these are my friends!" We had run in the same crowd for years and didn't know it.
He was always the trickster and made each gathering a wonder memory. I miss him greatly, he is leaving a very big whole in all of our lives. But his beautiful spirit will be in our hearts for ever!

I met Bob in junior high and we became great friends. We had our very own "group" that ran around together. We literally "ran" around, we weren't old enough to drive! We had many parties, concerts, and sporting events. Bob and I became very close and we would talk on the phone every night. He was so funny and so so so talented. He used to draw me cartoons and they were just unbelievably creative. I saw Bob a few times over the last 35+ years, the last time being about 2 years ago. He still looked great, was still hilarious, and still so warm and loving. I will miss his smile and wit: I am a nurse and one of the last times we all were supposed to get together, I couldn't attend because I was working the night shift. Bob called me and asked me why I wasn't coming and when I told him I had to work he said, "Are you a stripper?" I thought it was just perfect that he would say that (in quite a kidding way!) I love you and will miss you.

I met Robert "Bob" when we were both in 5th grade! We shared many years of getting to know one another, becoming good friends, sharing our dating years together and then going separate ways. But through the years we have always kept in touch. Bob had a glorious sense of humor and a talent for making people laugh in the face of their troubles. He was one of the most talented and memorable men I have ever met and I will miss him dearly. I am grateful that I had the honor and privelege of knowing him, loving him and sharing a small part of his life. May God watch over him and keep him safe until we meet again. Lovingly, Your friend, Connie (Brown)

I first met Robert in class just two short years ago. I recognized immediately that he had a remarkable artistic talent and the ability to share his gift with others. I was hooked and basically spent every Tuesday evening since then in class with him and his other students. We drew, laughed, ate and shared. In many ways we became a family, connected by Robert’s contagious personality and talents.

Robert was my friend and mentor. I miss him so much.

To Our Dear, Sweet Robert, Thank you so much Robert for making us all feel so special in your presence. You had the ability to make us feel that we are great artists, song writers, painters and dancers. You helped us see that living life to the fullest was the only way. You had no ability to accept negativity and you passed on your philosophies and thoughts with great respect. I am humbled and thankful that I knew you.

My Uncle Robert was such a role model for us, through his example I saw that other corners of the world were tangible and new things were to be discovered at every turn. I watched my Uncle dance with my mother and my aunts, charm even the grumpiest of folk and place humor in the dullest of moments. I will terribly miss the adventure that he added to our lives, he forced me to get out my comfort zone and sing, dance, laugh and dare to break the rules. Robert had a heart of gold and taught me a tremendously important lesson: live in the moment and seize any and every opportunity to tell your loved ones how you feel, your family is the most important thing in this life.

I will miss you forever Uncle Robert, I wish you were still here to conduct the show. But, every time I feel butterflies in my stomach from nervousness to break out of my shell, I will know that that is your way of urging me on. Thank you for teaching me that it is not about doing something perfectly, but just doing it at all. I love you and cherish our time together, Your Niece.

I am a proud uncle of Robert who was probably the most unassuming and talented person I have ever known. A fine artist, dancer, musician, composer, photographer, and so much more. A real Renaissance Man.
His life has left a mark on us and the world. He has touched so many and shall be deeply missed. God Bless you Robert. Please know how much you are loved by all of us.

Robert was my friend and art teacher for many years. I owe so much to this man, he was not only a very talented man but one of the most caring , loving and funny people I have ever known. My heart goes out to his whole family but most of all to his beloved sons, his mother and P.J.
Thanks for the Memories Dear Robert.

I went to Ruskin High School with Robert. I was able to keep up with him over the years. I was very sad to hear of his death. I will never forget his smile and laugh. He loved to tease and make people laugh. I will never forget my trip to New York with my friend Theresa McDowell when visited Robert at his studio. We went salsa dancing and I thought that was the coolest thing I had ever done in my life. I will miss him. My condolences to his family.
