To the Zenners,
These past few weeks that I have spent with you all- especially you Matt- have been illuminating and unforgettable. I had no idea how to help in this situation, but I tried and will always continue to do so. In watching the Zenner's I have learned about strength, love, loss, and determination. Matt will never give up the good fight, and will remain an inspiration to all, and to me especially, in his strength and especially the fact that he is turning a bad situation into one that might one day save someones life. For this Matt, you are an angel to many, as Teri is to you and Alayna. Matt, you make her and all of us proud.

To Matt Zenner and daughter, I am so sorry to have heard and read about the Loss of your beloved wife Teri, I am the Parent of a young lady who recieved help and services from an Agency here, My heart is saddened that she lost it will doing the work that is needed and that she apparently loved, I applaud and support you in your efforts to petition for more safe and secure procedures for all workers in this field. May God continue to bless you and your daughter and lift you up in prayers.

There is not enough that could be said to describe how Teri has touched my life. I could go on and on about all the "good times, good times" and all the small things that I miss about her each day. I am so sorry to hear of your loss! I was in the hospital having my son when I heard the news of Terri's passing. Sarah and Bri came to visit me that night and Sarah was just saying how happy and in love Matt and Teri were! I didn't get the chance to be in the presence of the couple but everyone who knew them could tell how in love they were! To Bri, I am here for you in any way possible! You and I have definitely been through thick and thin with our friendship, and I will do anything for you! I love your whole family and I wish you nothing but the best! YOu guys are in my prayers!

I want to thank all of you for the support you have provided to all of us. Teri was the final piece to my life and there was nothing more I wanted to do, then spend it with her. We were so excited about having kids and starting our family. I would not be able to make it through these tough times without all of your help. To everyone that is working in the same field as Teri I promise that I will make the changes to protect you all. Everyone is like family to me and I don't care how long it takes but things will change. Once again thank you all for you support during this time. I can not say enough about how Teri has touched and changed my life. It was such an honor to work with Teri and to share an office with her. What Teri brought to our team will never be forgotten. Only recently did I learn of this terrible tragedy. My deepest sympathy to the Zenner family and especially to Matt. While I did not personally know Teri or her family, I know the Zenner’s and their love for family. I cannot imagine the sorrow and pain the Zenner and Mathis families are experiencing. I read the memorials and they sketch a portrait of a wonderful young woman. To Mike & Sarah, and Matt and extended family we send our love and prayers through this unimaginable time of loss and sorrow.

I went to college with Teri for one year. She lived in the apartment building in front of mine. Everyday I walked by I would see her outside just being so happy and full of life. She was a great ball player. My friend Melissa played with her and I often went to their games. Teri was such a warm person, it made it really easy to approach her. I can remember sitting down next to her and talk about the day, she always had a positive thing to say. I will always remember Teri and I do pray that her family has strength. God will make it better with time.

I played basketball with Teri in Jr. High and in High School. Teri always had a wonderful way to brighten the day if you were down or if a situation heated up. Although I had lost touch with her after school, I thought about her often as I would tell funny high school stories to my husband and friends that included Teri. I am deeply sorry for the Zenner and Mathis families...she will be greatly missed by more people than they can ever imagine as she has touched so many lives.

I have sat in this very spot several times, thinking of what to say. First of all, my heart goes out to her family. Teri had such a wonderful spirit and a great smile. She will be forever missed. Teri and I were friends in college, she was on my wing my freshman year in the dorms. I have many fond memories of her. I am also a social worker in the Kansas City area, so this has hit close to home in more ways than one. God Bless your family and you will be in my prayers.

I am Alayna's maternal grandmother, and although I never met Teri personally, Alayna's mother told me how much Teri loved Alayna and how Alayna loved her in return.

We are so very sorry to hear of this great loss. Our daughter played softball with Teri for many years, both summer and school. Many, many hours were spent around watching our girls play ball and Andy and Barbara did so with such great pride and dedication. I was so sad to hear about what happened to Teri. I played softball with her for a few years when we were younger and I remember her as a fun and vibrant person. I am also in the social service field, and I know that she must have done a lot to help a lot of people and she will be very missed.

I didn't know Teri personally, although I know others who did. I heard many good things about Teri and how dedicated to her job she was. My husband and I are deeply sorry for your loss. I got to know Teri when we were younger and attending Fellowship Church in Olathe. My husband was in one of her art classes and also knew her from Vista. They often talked because their mothers were both suffering from cancer at the same time. We both only remember great things about Teri. Though we cannot imagine your pain and loss, we will pray for your family everyday.

My heart aches for your loss. I did not know Teri that well but had the opportunity to do a training and lunch with her this summer. She struck me as such a happy, confident, and intelligent woman. During that lunch, she spoke of how she adored Alayna and was looking forward to having children with Matt. She beemed with a light when she spoke about the two. The little I learned about her in that 8 hour day, I believe she lived life with much passion. I noticed that she took the time to hug her partner/friend in the class and the two laughed often. My prayers are with all of you that are feeling her loss, that in your time of grief you can find solace in the memories of her warm hugs that linger and the intoxication of her laughter. Although short, she appeared to have a good life and she will make a saintly angel. God Bless

I did not know Teri. I feel that I have to offer what little support I can in your time of loss. I am a social worker and have been doing work similar to Teri for well over 20 years. I know that Teri had a positive impact on many lives. She will be missed by family and friends. She will also be missed by clients and colleagues- including those she never had a chance to meet.

We've only known the Zenner family for a short time. When Matt, Teri and Alayna moved in next door earlier this year, we knew we were going to like our new neighbors. I was fortunate to meet Teri while attend MSSU in Joplin, Missouri. My many thoughts and prayers are with all of Teri's family and friends. I have been employed with the state of Missouri as a Probation and Parole Officer for five years. My favorite memory of Teri is when I walked into her dorm room my freshmen year in college and introduced myself and she had just as much joy and engery as ever and I remember thinking I would like her as a friend.
