Vincenza Leone Obituary

Vincenza Leone, 84, Independence, MO, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2003, at Rosewood Health Center at The Groves. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 16, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel, Kansas City, MO, where rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home; burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Mrs. Leone was born in Elks Falls, KS. She is survived by her children, Lena Cangelosi, Grain Valley, MO, Angela Couzens, Kansas City, MO, Stefano Leone, Independence, MO, Joann Hohensinner, Independence, MO, Anthony Leone, North Kansas City, MO, and Andy Leone, Independence, MO; sister, Fortuna Sciacca, New York, NY; 17 grandchildren; and 20 greatgrandchildren. She worked at the Perry Yacht Club for 16 years with her husband, Vincenzo Leone, who preceded her in death. Her passion was spending quality time at her family's Sunday gatherings.
