Nancy O'Brien Obituary
Died: May 20, 2009; in Clearwater, Fla.
GENEVA - Nancy Anne O'Brien, 63, of Geneva, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009, in Clearwater, Fla., of complications from rheumatoid arthritis.
She was born Nov. 26, 1945, in Chicago, the daughter of Robert and Janith (Koerner) Quinlan.
Nancy was a graduate of Trinity High School in River Forest. She was a former employee of McDonald's Corp. and O'Brien Budd Inc. She loved playing tennis, volunteering at Delnor-Community Hospital and making dinners for new mothers and the homeless.
She is survived by her husband of 42years, Mike; eight children, Carol (Don) Cox of Barrington, Bridget (Tony) Roveda of Geneva, Sean (Nilze) O'Brien of South Elgin, Dan (Kristen) O'Brien of Batavia, Megan (Andrew) Young of Batavia, Michael (Susana) O'Brien of Batavia, Kevin (Melissa) O'Brien of Elburn and Darrell (Tabitha) Miller of Cortland; 27 grandchildren; and three siblings, Michael (Marilyn) Quinlan of Oak Brook, Katie (John) Churchill of Wheaton and Terry (Diane) Quinlan of Sun Prairie, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bobby Quinlan.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 25, at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State St. (Route 38), Geneva.
The funeral will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva, for celebration of funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. with Msgr. Joseph F. Jarmoluk celebrant.
Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Geneva.
Memorials appreciated to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.

Mike and Family.......we just learned the news of Nancy's passing away at such an early time in her life....we know her life was not always pleasant regarding her illnesses but she always had a smile and a hug for all!!!...we thank you for being a part of our lives!....

To the O'Brien Family:
Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers in the loss of your loved one Nancy. I know from working at the O'Brien-Budd Co. that you were a close family and how much she was loved.
I only worked there for a period of 9 months as a temporary seasonal employee (Gift Certificate Department) but could tell that the family was one of alot of fun and closeness. Hold on to the memories as they can not be taken away! I am sure that you all have a great many of them. My fond memory was when I accompanied my daughter Val to Cancun for a business meeting. Our plane had some mechanical problem and delayed us from our return trip. Then when we landed in Texas we had to run to catch our connecting flight. Jack Johnson somehow bribed the airline people to waiting for us all to board several minutes late. Whew!!
Several of the former employees still stay in touch occassionally and reflect back to the O"Brian-Budd days and what a good time they had working there. Thanks to all of you for the good memories you shared with us. Let the memories live in your hearts forever. God Bless each and everyone of you!
