Born: Sept. 7, 1927; in Pittsburgh, PA
Died: June 8, 2015; in Batavia, IL
Suzanne Westermann Caffrey, 87, of the Holmstad Retirement Community in Batavia and formerly of Lake Forest, IL passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 at Michealsen Health Care Center in Batavia. She was born September 7, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA the daughter of Clayton and Louise (nee Heidencamp) Westermann.
Suzanne with her free spirit towards life had a passion for art and music and was a talented painter. She was a good friend to many and had a love for all creatures especially dogs and horses.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, Lyn (Robert) Buchta, of St. Charles and Karen Johnson of Lake Geneva, WI; five grandchildren, John (Kyle) Buchta and Julie Buchta, and Justin and Amanda Johnson, and Ashley (Troy) Johnson-Miller; and five great-grandchildren, Hunter, Savannah, Trenton, Hudson, and Scout; a brother, Clayton (Barbara) Westermann; two nieces, Ellen and Loel Westermann; and a nephew, Peter Westermann.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 11:30 A.M. Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 S. Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. Visitation will be held 10:30 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Dear Karen, Amanda, Ashley and Justin, I just wanted to give you my most heart felt sympathy for the loss of your Mom and Grandmother. I'm sorry I can't be there for you. I have two immediate family graduations to attend that day but my thoughts and prayers will be with you! I hope your fond memories will be of some comfort during this sad time.
