She married Charles Marienau (also of Kearney) on December 2, 1964 and they made their home here. She was employed at Paul's Boiler and CHI Good Samaritan Hospital. She later became a housewife.
Bertha was a loving wife, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed being outdoors, watching pastors on tv, playing cards, board games, watching birds and squirrels, and talking to family and friends on the phone. She will be missed dearly by so many and loved always and forever.
Those left to cherish her memory include two children, Kenneth (Michele) Marienau of Kearney and David (Angel Alferez) Marienau of Hastings; nine grandkids; ten great grandkids; and two special friends Marge Fager and Sandee Thompson (who she thought of as a daughter).
She was preceded in death by her parents; a baby sister; a sister and her husband Betty and Red Loseke; and four brothers-in-law, Bob, Virgil, Wayne and Doug Marienau.
