Wanda Marienau Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapels - Eden Prairie on Oct. 1, 2023.
Marienau, Wanda M.
Age 93 of Eden Prairie passed away Sept. 29, 2023. Wanda was born at home on December 02, 1929 in North Mankato, MN. Preceded in death by parents Lydia and Al Marienau, brother and his wife, Dennis and Norma Marienau, and sister and her husband, Donna and Richard Fortney as well as nephew, Rich Fortney.
She is survived by sister Judith (Roger) Johnson, Bloomington, MN. Also survived by nephews, William Marienau, Terrance Fortney, Scott Fortney, Bradley Fortney, Dennis Johnson and niece, Debbie Campbell plus many great nieces and nephews. They will all dearly miss their "Ant". Wanda will be missed by her caring neighbors and remaining dear friends.
A shout out to her local nephew Dennis (Jay) Johnson, wife Nuala and great nieces Delaney and Kiera. They gifted her with Kitty in her elder years and remained special people in her life to the end.
Wanda was infinitely curious about everyone she met, instantly wanting to know the name, home town and life story of each passing face. She was lovingly known as the "Boss" and "cruise director" of the family.
Wanda's career included Star Personnel, Brush and Morrow Consultants and HDR. Wanda was a member of Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, Minneapolis and belonged to the American Society of Administrative Professionals.
Services were held with a private interment at Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis. Memorials preferred to Mt Olivet or donor's choice.

Wanda was a friend of my dad´s in high school and from time to time they would chat, and a year after he died she called to apologize for not making the funeral. I told her not a problem and I called her once in a while after that to talk until one day the phone was disconnected and searching brought me here. I´m so sorry for your loss, she seemed like a nice lady. Again my condolences during this time.
