Gary L. Clement
Gary L. Clement, age 80, of Elm Creek, died on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Memorial services will be on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Amherst, NE. Pastor Nicholas Whitney will officiate and private family burial will be at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to Lutheran Youth Fellowship to assist with the national conference, care of the family. Please visit www.hlmkfuneral.com to leave a tribute or message of condolence. Gary was born on March 26, 1944 in Kearney, NE to Paul and Nellie (Nine) Clement. He attended school and eventually earned his GED. He married Christine Billings on December 14, 1968 in Kearney. Gary was drafted into the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He attended Kearney State College after his honorable discharge from the Army and graduated with a bachelors degree in 1976. Gary worked for many years at Rockwell and later Eaton's, both in Kearney. Gary was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Amherst.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Chris Clement of Elm Creek, NE; daughter, Shelly Niles (Ron) of Bellevue, NE; brother, Dan.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Barbie; brothers, Bob and Dick.
