In Loving Memory of Jeffrey L. Orr.
Jeffrey L. Orr passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024, at 12:48 p.m., surrounded by his three children, his devoted wife, and his best friend, Stella.
Jeff was a visionary leader and community advocate. In 1978, he co-founded the Jacobson Orr Law Firm in Kearney, Neb., alongside his lifelong friend Jeff Jacobson. Deeply connected to his roots, Jeff played a significant role in the growth of Kearney through his dedicated service on numerous boards and volunteer organizations. His contributions also extended to The University of Nebraska System, leaving a lasting impact.
Jeff is lovingly remembered by his family:
Mark Jamison Orr, his wife, Nicole, and their daughter, Alexandria, Lincoln, Neb. Casey Christine Geringer and her children, Gabrielle, Grant, and Grayson, Columbus, Ga. Alexandra Elizabeth Trevino, her husband, Josh, and their children, Asher and Haisley, Kearney, Neb. And especially his cherished wife, Cinda Susan Orr, Sedona, Ariz.
He will also be deeply missed by friends, golf buddies, and colleagues in Kearney, Neb.; Indian Wells, Calif.; Sedona, Ariz.; and beyond. Jeff's kindness, wisdom, and love enriched the lives of all who knew him.
A celebration of Jeff's life will be held at a later date, and details will be shared with family and friends.

Cinda and family, I am so terribly sad for your loss. Jeff was a very special man and a dear friend. He helped us adopt our daughter and was so helpful to me as I started my Buckle career and encouraged my community involvement .My thoughts and prayers go out to each of you.

So sorry to hear of Jeffs passing.. He was always great to be around and made you feel good. Great sense of Humor. Have many fond memories of visiting with Jeff. He was a good man and did much for Kearney.
