Josiah "Joey" Jones
Josiah "Joey" Jones, 18 of Kearney passed away Friday, April 19, 2024, at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2024, at O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Condolences may be shared online at www.osrfh.com. Services are entrusted to O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services.
Joey was born December 27, 2005, in Kearney, Nebraska, to Thomas and Anne (Munsinger) Jones. He was raised in Kearney and was a Senior at Kearney High School. Joey enjoyed fishing, woodworking, camping and playing video games. He was a member of the Gamers Club and attended the Outpost Church in Kearney. Joey had a huge heart and always offered unconditional love.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Anne Jones of Kearney; siblings, Hannah Jones of Missouri, Bennett Jones of Kearney, and Jadon Munsinger of Kearney; grandmother, Cheryl Munsinger of Kearney; aunts and uncles, Elizabeth Munsinger of Kearney, John Munsinger of Kearney, Tammy "Aunt Mimi" Rice and husband Nicholas of Rich Hill, MO, and Mikey Jones of Rich Hill, MO; as well as many extended family and friends.
Joey was preceded in death by his biological father, John Jones; grandfather, Melvin Munsinger; grandmother, Sue Jones; great grandfather, K.C. Munsinger; and great aunt, Connie Stika.
