Jarvis Jay Brende

With deepest sorrow, we regret that Jarvis Jay Brende, age 42, our most beloved dad, son, brother, family member and friend passed suddenly on Saturday December 17th, 2022. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM Friday, December 23, 2022, at Baltic Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at the East Nidaros Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30-7:30 PM Thursday, at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Baltic. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be paid to the "Jarvis Brende Family Memorial" which has been set up for the benefit of Jarvis's son Levi Brende. The family requests casual dress at the funeral and visitation. Jarvis was born on August 4th, 1980, to Keith and Donna (Aspaas) Brende in Dell Rapids, SD. Jarvis lived most of his life on the family farm south of Baltic. He attended Baltic Schools and graduated in 2000 from Baltic High School. Following high school, Jarvis drove truck for Brende Trucking, a partnership he had with his brother, Jamie. He then worked for CHS (Baltic Elevator) for about 15 years where he did a bit of everything. Jarvis most recently worked for Mortenson Construction on windmill farms, holding the title of best track loader operator in the business. Those who knew Jarvis, even just a little bit, will carry memories of him with them one of a kind memories that only Jarvis knew how to create. He is survived by his son, Levi Brende; mother, Donna Brende; brothers: Jason (Tonya) Brende, Jamie (Dawn) Brende, and Jeff (Jamie) Brende; nephews: Cole Brende, Luke Brende, Jaxen Brende, Shawn Knudson; nieces, Jaeya Brende and Kirsten Knudson; his other half, Kirby Christenson and her children, Addison and Shea; Heather and her children, Abby and Caid; several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and coworkers. Jarvis was preceded in death by his father, Keith Brende; grandparents: Ole & Lorraine Aspaas and Elwin & Orpha Brende; uncle, Richard Johnson, and cousin, Darrin Johnson.
