Marlene Mae Davis gained her wings on September 10, 2024 and was welcomed into her heavenly family.

Marlene was born on February 27, 1945 to Ralph and Alice (Wyman) Middlemas in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. She was the third child of four children.
While growing up, her family often moved around. This resulted in Marlene attending several different schools, which included Aladdin, Wyoming, Custer, Nemo and finally Belle Fourche, South Dakota. Marlene graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1964.
During her high school years, Marlene worked as a candy striper at the John Burns Memorial Hospital and subsequently became a nurse’s aide at the nursing home. During the time at the nursing home her friend, Nida Gorwill, introduced Marlene to Tom C. Davis.
Tom and Marlene were married on January 12, 1965. After their marriage, Tom and Marlene moved to the Davis Ranch north of Belle Fourche. She was the proud mother of their four children: Juanita, Ivan, Shauna and Jim. Marlene spent her life devoted to her children. She provided assistance to help meet the needs of their hired hands as well.
In addition to her children, her family was very important. She loved time spent with her best friend and sister, Carla. The annual trip to Colorado to visit sister, Dorothy, in Leadville was always anticipated. Visits with Kenny, her brother, in Green River, Wyoming were a highlight as well.
Her hobbies included raising a large garden, canning vegetables and fruits. She raised bum lambs and calves. She also loved her pet bobcats, deer and antelope. Marlene provided many delicious homemade meals for the holidays.
After her children were grown, Marlene took up merchandising greeting cards at various retail stores throughout the Hills.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; Ralph and Alice (Wyman) Middlemas, her siblings; Dorothy Demianiw, Kenny Middlemas & Carla (Jack) Virtue. She is survived by her husband, Tom; children, Juanita Davis (Larry Braun), Ivan Davis (Joanie Hindman), Shauna Davis, and Jim (Charli) Davis. Grandchildren are Tyrel Johnson, Tye Davis, Serena Davis, Shaun-tey Kerr, Kyra Kerr, Piper Davis and Harper Davis.
