Todd Edward Washechek was born on December 16, 1965 to the late Richard and Ruth (Hopp) Washechek. Todd attended country school near Wessington Springs, SD and in 1977 moved to Wessington Springs to complete the rest of his school years and spent time custom harvesting with his family. Todd was active in football and track where he won many events and graduated from WSHS in 1984.

In the early years of Todd's life he was enlisted in the National Guard and attended a community college in Freeman, SD. Todd was a hard-working man just like his father and throughout his early life he worked at John Morrell, drove semi for various companies before buying his own truck, and in later years starting his own trucking company called TWT-Todd Washechek Trucking and teaching CDL classes. After this Todd returned to Kimball, SD to start the middle years of his life working for Brule County and Chamberlain Academy and focusing more to become a man of faith choosing to become Catholic and joining the Knights of Columbus. While during a religious pilgrimage to Medjugorje he met the love of his life, Tiffany Casadia and the two were married on April 18, 2004.

Their love brought three beautiful children: Tessa, Iva and John Paul. Todd moved to Florida in 2008 and for the last 13 years lived with his family in St. Augustine and Fernandina Beach, FL where he trucked, worked at YSI as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor, and owned his own vending company for a short period of time. Todd's last chapter of his life was a hobby farm that he recently invested in to bring joy to his family.

On March 6, 2021 at 55 years young, Todd left this earth to return home to be with The Lord. Todd was strong in his faith, a loving husband, father, son, brother and best guy you could have in your life. Todd enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and was a true South Dakota native at heart as he made an annual trip back to South Dakota to be with family and friends to do the things he loved. Todd will be missed by many and will be remembered for his sense of humor as he always had a joke, his love for his family and friends as he always put others first. Todd had a smile that would light up a room and a laugh that was infectious.

Todd is survived by: his wife, Tiffany Washechek and three children: Tessa 15, Iva 13, and John Paul 4 of Fernandina Beach, FL; his mother, Ruth Washechek of Wessington Springs, SD; three siblings: Rick Washechek of Huron, SD, Scott Washechek of Sioux Falls, SD and Lisa Washechek of Wolsey, SD; three nephews: Richard, Royse and Michael; four nieces: Madalyn (godchild), Macy (godchild), Mia and Piper; and aunt and uncle, Linda and Mike Shearer of Mitchell, SD.

Todd was preceded in death by: his father, Richard Washechek; brother, Mike Washechek; and grandparents: Eleanor and Paul Reindl and Melvin and Alvina Hopp.
