Died: May 26, 2022
Brittny Allbee Leyva, age 35, a resident of Yorkville, IL, formerly of Aurora, IL, passed away suddenly and peacefully to be with her Heavenly Father, on the evening of Thursday, May 26, 2022, after courageously battling cancer for over two years. She was born September 26, 1986, at Edward Hospital in Naperville.
Beloved mother of Louis (14), Leo (12) and Bayla (10) and furbaby, Eleanor, former spouse of Matthew A. Leyva of Chicago, devoted daughter of Mark and Pam (nee Meluch) Allbee of Yorkville, cherished granddaughter of Marilyn (Dennis) DeMeo of Aurora and the late Eugene L. "Jeep" Meluch; Jack and Harriett Allbee of Johnson City, TN, loving sister of Matthew (Debbie) Allbee of Yorkville and Luke (Rachel) Allbee of Schaumburg, IL, adored aunt of Benjamin and Kelley Allbee, dear niece of Roger Meluch of Las Vegas, NV, Greg (Karen) Meluch of Cary, NC, Dan (Darla) Meluch of Naperville, Michael (Lynn) Meluch of Naperville and Scott (Terri) Allbee of Pembroke Pines, FL, daughter-in-law of Maria (Mark) Graves of Bolingbrook, IL, sister-in-law of Reyna (Edgar) Nungaray of Bolingbrook, Richelle Estrada of Manhattan, IL and Andy (Stephanie) Leyva of Fort Collins, CO, fond great-niece, cousin and friend of many.
Brittny grew up in Aurora, attended Georgetown Elementary School, Granger Middle School and was a 2005 graduate of Waubonsie Valley High School. She earned a bachelor's degree from The University of Illinois Springfield and was currently employed as a pricing specialist for Aldi Corporate in Batavia, IL.
Brittny enjoyed painting and spending time with her children and extended family.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 2, 2022, 4:00-8:00 PM at Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 S. Joliet Rd., Plainfield, IL.
Additional visitation will be held Friday, June 3, 9:00-10:30 AM in the funeral home.
A celebration of Brittny's life will follow Friday, 10:30 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Neil Schori officiating.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in memory of Brittny to Angels of Hope for the benefit of the Leyva children to support the financial needs of the family during this challenging time.
