Donald Wayne Friebele, age 88, of Oswego, IL died on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born August 4, 1933 in Aurora, IL the son of the late Herman and Dorothy nee Hibbard Friebele.
He was proud to have the distinction of being a 4th generation to be born, raised, educated, and still living in the Village of Oswego. He served his country honorably with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Oswego Presbyterian Church and as a truck driver Local #710 in Chicago, IL and Local #673 of West Chicago, IL. He was a regular visitor of the local coffee shops where he could visit with fellow truck driver and agronomist.
Survivors include two sons Jeffrey Friebele, Robert (Patti) Friebele, three grand hildren Andrew (Heather) Friebele, Justin Friebele, Kaitlyn Friebele, a great grandson Chase Friebele. Three sisters Janice Mahr, Sheryl Bryant, Bonita (Lloyd) Coffman, also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia nee Schultz Friebele.
Private inurnment took place at Oswego Township Cemetery in Oswego, IL.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543.
