I met Roger at Holy Angels. I was a volunteer greeter
during 2021 when we were contact tracing for CoVid. Roger always came in with a smile and was such a
nice man. I heard his name in church today and looked at the pew he always sat in, His smile will always be remembered and I know he is with Jesus now. My sincerest sympathy to the family!

I first met Roger in the fall of 1970 when I enrolled at St. Procopius College after leaving the Air Force. I was in a Statistics course with Roger. After class, we, along with a lot of commuters, would go to the gym where there was an area for us to study, eat lunch and plan activities for the weekends; Barnabys Pizza on Ogden Ave.
It was at a party that many of us where at where I met a young lady who became my wife. Roger was there and Roger was in my wedding party. He bought presents when my wife and I had our children.
Roger and I started to go to Cubs games, Sox games, Bears games and Hockey Games, Blackhawks and Cougars. We were in attendance at two Stanley Cup finals, both losses, and the 1985 NFC championship game propelling the Bears to the Super Bowl. We went to Montreal to see the Cubs play the Expos.
Roger helped me when I opened a business helping me sell industrial products throughout the area.
For the last number of years, we met for lunches and dinners, talked about politics, sports, investments and family. We last met on December 29 at the Lantern in Naperville. We wished each other a Happy New Year and said we would get together when I returned from Florida. That was the last time I spoke to him. I will miss him very much. God Speed Roger.
