Gregory R. "Greg" Kubas

1957 - 2014

Gregory R. "Greg" Kubas, 57, of Paddock Lake, Wis., passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at St. Catherine's Medical Center, Pleasant Prairie, Wis.

He was born July 28, 1957, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Albin and Helen (DeVold) Kubas, moving to Paddock Lake in 1968 and graduating from Central High School. Greg has worked for many years as a coordinator for the Illinois Department of Rehabilitation Services. Greg enjoyed: wood scrolling, card making, collecting trolls, and puppets, riding his moped and "Booger", and he loved horses and Bonsai trees.

Survivors include: his mother Helen Kubas of Paddock Lake, Wis.; two siblings: Steve (Tira) Kubas of Paddock Lake, Wis., and Barbara (Marilyn Hermanek) Kubas of Bristol, Wis.; a sister-in-law Gail Kubas of Salem, Wis.; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion Snowball. Greg was preceded in death by his father Albin and a brother Gary Kubas.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL 60002 with a funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Bristol Paris Cemetery, Paris Twsp., WI.
