Gregory Peter Parkhurst

May 10, 1948 - October 13, 2025

Gregory Peter Parkhurst, age 77, of Kenosha, passed away on October 13th, 2025. He was born on May 10th, 1948, in Dodge County, Wisconsin to Norman Parkhurst and Joan (Simonds) Parkhurst. He attended Kenosha schools and graduated from Tremper High School in 1966. He later attended Elmhurst College and transferred to University of Wisconsin Parkside where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Geology. On July 17th, 1971, he married the love of his life Mary Gentes. They enjoyed over 50 years of marriage together until his passing.

He was extremely devoted to his faith and prayed every day for others. Second in his life to God was his family. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, which was the light of his life. He also loved gardening and spending time outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; children: Jason Parkhurst, Amy (Jorge) Parada and Rebecca (Joseph) Luciano; grandchildren: Salvatore, Isabella, Joseph, Sergio and Charli; and nieces and nephews: Mark (Flora) Ward, Danny (Samantha) Ward, Nicole Keating, Sue Garando, Christopher Gentes, Tommy Gentes, Linda Helmer, Tommy Ashley and Terry Ashley. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Michael Ward and Mark Ward.

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. A public visitation will also be held at church from 9:30 a.m., until the time of Mass. Inurnment at St. James Catholic Cemetery will immediately follow the Mass.
