I was just thinking about Jim. He was my PADI diving instructor in Kenosha near the harbor in the 80's. I wrote a book called Church Bell Tower & a lot about Scuba Diving. His character in the book I called Dave Lanigan &I called it Dave's Dive Shop. He was an excellent instructor & we all enjoyed his classes & expertise. I looked up his name & seen his Obituary. My late Condolences to a wonderful guy!

Jim brought diving into my life which led to a career as a Navy Diver and Special Operations. His mentorship and patience with me as a teenager had a lifelong impact. Thank You Jim.

Jim, a great man. I will remember most a lesson his magnet, exuberant, personality and character taught me... He always had wonder in his eyes for every piece of life. Every animal was fantastic (and possible a great pet), no ocean was un-swimmable, every life adventure is exciting, and every chance you can to greet life with love and a smile and embrace it, you just go for it. Happiness in life is some thing you create. Jim created so much happiness he brought others along to share in the simple joy of life. Our deepest condolences to all his family and loved ones. Our prayers are with you as we know how greatly he is, and will be missed.

I was with Jim in the air, under the surface, and on his planet. A truly unique and remarkable individual who I miss.
