John was always a delight to be with and to work with. I had the great fortune to be hired by him and John Rosen for the construction of several childcare centers, ranging in location from Golden to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Over the few years we worked together, I always found John to be a joyful, witty, savvy conversationalist, and quite knowledgeable about the industry. He was easy to be with, and I chuckle when I think of his sense of humor and the jokes we shared. He had a way of making people feel welcome, appreciated, and at ease. And, he also took great pride and joy in his wife, his son Max, his motorcycle and the Rockies. He was at home in Colorado. It happened that I was able to see John in late August 2024 at the opening of a new childcare facility in a suburb of Minneapolis. It had been nearly 20 years since we last saw each other, but it was as if that time had never passed. That was John’s wayI’ll always remember him for that.
