John F. "Jack" Wilk, 57, of Riverside, Ill.
Beloved husband of Deborah Graham-Wilk; dear brother of Kathy (Ron) Otto and Peggy (David) Gregorski; fond uncle of Laura (Jared) Tyunaitis and Katie (Peter) Gehrig; cherished son of the late Harry and Phyllis (nee Kudlacz) Wilk.
Member of the Illinois and Chicago Bar Associations; former finance committee chairman at St. Mary Catholic Church and member of the Illinois FOP State Lodge and Riverside Township Lions Club. Proud graduate of Fenwick High School 78, Illinois Weslyan University and the John Marshall Law School. Devoted fan of the Chicago Bears, White Sox and Blackhawks.
Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Rd., Westchester (2 blks West of Mannheim Rd.) on Thursday, May 3, 2018, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Funeral Friday, 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary Church, Riverside for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment private. Donations appreciated to Disabled Veterans of America. Arrangements entrusted to The Original Kuratko Family - Brian D. and Kenneth D. Kuratko, Directors. Jack was a law school mate and he had the answer when no one else did. He was such a sharp guy, and of course, a perfect gentleman. I miss him dearly. I saw his office building for sale when I went to the doctor across the street, and I knew he was gone. I will never forget how great he was. He was the best !

I was close friends with Jack in 6th, 7th and 8th grades--we used to hang out together all the time. We drifted into different circles when we went to different high schools. I just happened across a newspaper that mentioned his passing. Over forty years later, he still stays in my mind as one of the funniest and all-around nicest guys I have ever known.

I had just heard about Jack having passed away. I was shocked to hear. Jack was always with a smile on his face. Very friendly polite gentlemen. I will miss seeing him. I know he is in Heaven with his loving parents who were a very sweet couple. May peace be with you Jack. My sympathy to Jack entire family.

Jack was always very kind to me even though I was the annoying neighborhood kid. I will miss his kindness, his wonderful smile, his sense of humor and of course him dancing around trying to get us to eat the last of the hot dogs at the 4th of July. My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Please accept my condolences. Jack was a States Attorney who worked in my Court for a long and memorable time. In addition to the law, we shared a mutual appreciation for football at all levels of competition. We also shared a mutual appreciation for the law after I retired from the bench and Jack entered private practice. Jack was a fine and ethical man and I am certain he was beloved by his wife and children, friend and relations. He brought a great spirit and kindness to this world and to all he met.

Our deepest condolences to the Wilk family. I worked with Jack in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office in District 4 and when Jack was a criminal defense lawyer. He was a fine individual and dedicated public servant and private practitioner who worked tirelessly on behalf of the People and his clients. He was a very kind person and a true gentleman. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jack's family and may God give you strength and courage during these difficult times. May Jack's memory be eternal. God has called home a very good man.
