Josh was a neighbor of mine at Shagbark Apartments. I talked with him many times through the years at the pool and at many of the parties at our complex.

I am so saddened to see this. Thoughts and prayers to the Kroetz family. I enjoyed working with Josh on the UW Stadium cleanup crew...... we would all play basketball on the Fieldhouse floor after we were done at the stadium he always had a smile on his face and was kind to all.....

The Kroetz family has my deepest condolences
involving the passing of Josh. I had Josh in an
economics class at Sun Prairie High School and he
also worked for me at Camp Randall Stadium for
several years. Josh was an excellent student as well as anis important part of the Camp Randall
crew. More importantly, Josh was as good as it
gets as a human being, His smile, his ability to
care for others, he was admired and liked by all.
I am grateful that Josh Kroetz was a part of my
life for many years. May he rest in peace.

I'm so sorry to hear about Josh. I remember him well from Sacred Hearts. He was such a sweet young man, and what a talented basketball player.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Joshua's passing. The obituary was beautifully written. He used his soul and kindness to make his corner of the world better. Nothing is greater than the cause of helping another. Those he did help, were the receivers of something beyond special.
My Father and Josh would go fishing on Lawrence Lake. My Dad was his Uncle. They had their own way of fishing. Josh was like me. If I would have caught something big, I would have put it back. I thought the fish was more of a service to finish it's life in the water. My Dad thought it must be kept as a trophy. This was a point of contention with my Father and I.
Dad said he mentioned it to Josh and he said I was right. No matter how big of a fish he caught that might, it was going back in the water. They had some deep conversations and I like to think they each grew in some way.
My Dad seemed to have a greater understanding. He said Josh had an incredible mind . The two of them fishing together on some warm summer night as the fireflies looked on.
It is one of my Dad's favorite stories. He told this one differently. As it has some reverence.
I send my thoughts and prayers to all my Kroetz cousins. I wish you peace. May Joshua's legacy of kindness, make us all the better as people.
I know he will be a bright star in his own way. Lighting his little corner of the night sky, as he did on earth.
My love, Robin Kroetz
