Mark R. Stanis

1959 - 2018

Mark R. Stanis; 59 years old of Trevor, Wis., passed away Saturday April 14, 2018, at Froedtert South St. Catherine Medical Center, Pleasant Prairie, Wis. He was born February 2, 1959, in Chicago, Ill., the son of the late Raymond and Dorothy (Hanus) Stanis, and settled in Trevor in 1997.

Mark began his career as an auto mechanic, and on September 18, 1997. He opened Mark's Cowmark Café, Trevor, Wis. Mark loved the Café and its patrons, and enjoyed: cars, music (especially the Allman Brothers), and donating his time and talents to his local community.

Survivors include: seven children: Jessica (Daniel) Duss of Waukesha, Wis., Megan (Christopher) Hubbard of Genoa City, Wis., Jacob (Kristina) Stanis of Roscoe, Ill., Melissa Stanis of Trevor, Wis., Lucas Stanis of Trevor, Wis., Matthew Canale and Carisa Canale both of Chicago, Ill.; 10 grandchildren: Rowan, Wesley, Joshua, Abigael, Kylah, Lilly, Evelyn, Ellyza, Ty, and Bryaar; his girlfriend Karen Caputo of Trevor, Wis.; two siblings: Gary (Michelle) Stanis of Freeport, Ill. and Donna (James) Librizzi of Orland Park, Ill.; his best friends: James Avery and Billy Boblak; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday April 17, 2018, at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL 60002. Interment will be private in Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Ill. In lieu of flowers, donations to a family memorial are appreciated in Mark's Memory.
