Patrick A. Hoffman, 68, of Burlington, passed away unexpectedly at Aurora Memorial Hospital-Burlington on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016.

Born Jan. 1, 1948, in Sheboygan, Wis., he was the son of Robert J. and Marion E. (nee Krueger) Hoffman. He spent his early life in Columbus, Wis., where he graduated from Columbus High School. He served proudly in the U.S. Army from April 1967 to April 1970, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was well known as a provider of jerky, craisins, chili, black bean soup, power tools, fish fries and bon fires. He loved church auctions, and hated Burl Ives and bad drivers. Patrick was a tireless, steady and beautiful man.
