Beulah Dunlap

DUNLAP Beulah Napier died July 23, 2014 in Lexington. Daughter of Edward and Fannie Napier she was born in Breathitt County. She attended Alice Lloyd College, Lee College, and the University of Kentucky where she graduated with a degree in Education. She taught school before becoming an officer of Citizen's Union Bank, a position she held for 22 years. A longtime member of Christ Church Cathedral she was, at various times, a member of the vestry, altar guild, and a Sunday School teacher. She was a supporter of various church charities including being the director of the Nearly New Shop, an Episcopal Church sponsored resale store. She is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Joseph Wolf Dunlap. She is survived by her son, Dwight D.Dunlap(Michelle),her daughter, JosieDunlap-Smith (David Smith)and grandchildren, Elijah J. and Rebekah D. Dunlap and Molly M., Eliza V., and Gabriel D. Smith. Her life will be celebrated with a memorial service at Christ Church Cathedral on Saturday, August 9, at 11am with a reception following in the Tilford Room.
